ABOUT CENTRALIA REFLEXOLOGY MASTERSHIP
(Incorporating Agored Cymru units at Level 5)
NEW QUALIFICATION! The Agored Cymru Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology which has been designed and developed from the highly successful Centralia Reflexology Mastership (incorporating Agored Cymru units at level 5) has now been officially launched.
The qualification has been designed to ensure that the learning is progressive and encompasses advanced practical and advanced conceptual knowledge.
The minimum requirements for reflexology practice have been used in the qualification design, with a starting point based against the Core Curriculum for Reflexology and the relevant SKills for Health NOS's. The level 5 qualification has been designed to extend the learners' range and accountability in reflexology practice, and to develop progression opportunities in a clinical / professional environment.
Level 5 Practitioners will be able to adapt reflexology treatments and techniques to the needs of individuals to provide specifically individualised treatments against medically predetermined symptoms of pathologies.
NEW! A treatment technique exclusive to Centralia Centres teaching at Level 5 to be taught alongside the Psychology of Stress and Eustress and its impact on Illness and Health.
All advanced practical knowledge will be taught with a depth of understanding of reflexology in applied contexts.
All five course units are assigned to the Nursing and Subjects and Vocations Allied to Medicine Sector and are 100% specific to becoming a Professional Clinical Reflexologist. The units are also recognised in Europe as the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales is registered with the European Qualifications Framework. Most reflexology courses are Level 3 and allied to Health and Social Care often including unrelated subjects or requiring prior Anatomy and Physiology training. The Level 5 course is ideal for medically trained people looking to move into the Complementary Health Sector, as well as newcomers with no prior knowledge of healthcare and Anatomy and Physiology. You are introduced to the structure and function of the body in a fun and interactive way alongside the reflexology, so if you are interested in how our incredible bodies work you should really enjoy this course!
The course is part time with 22 days of weekend attendance over the academic year. There is a comprehensive home study programme of assignments and personal studies. On successful completion of portfolios and practical assessments, graduates are able to use the letters CRM5 after their name and are eligible to join the key UK Reflexology membership organisations such as The Association of Reflexologists and the government approved regulatory body, The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council.
