Fertility Reflexology Course with Approval by CThA and Accredited by FHT
This is a two day course for Post graduate Reflexologists. The Reflexologist must have completed A&P certificate as part of initial Reflexology training. Evidence of qualifications must be produced prior to course. To achieve the qualification ‘Fertility Reflexologist’ attendance of the course as well as submission of case studies 3 x 3 treatments and 2 written assignments to be completed within one year from attendance of course. Once the qualification is attained the Reflexologist will be registered as a practitioner on the website. Once registered on the website you will remain until you request to be removed.

A Statement of Attendance will be issued for attendance of the course which can be used for CPD. This does not constitute a practitioner certificate which will be provided on completion of course requirements as above.
Aims: The Learner will be able to support the fertility client with Reflexology, particularly those with a diagnosis of unexplained infertility as well as learning techniques to support those clients undergoing Assisted Reproductive Techniques (ART) - IVF incl IVF (PDG), ICSI, IUI, FET or Clomid. The learner will have a greater understanding of the causes of infertility. How it affects emotionally and physically the client and her partner. The treatment options available for the diagnosis of infertility for both the male and female. Discuss how Reflexology can help the client. Demonstrate the use of practical Reflexology techniques on the client. Recognise and signpost the client for additional support.
Theory: The student must have a good knowledge of A&P of female and male reproductive systems as evidenced through prior qualification. During the weekend there will be discussion of the reproductive systems of both male and female including conditions which can affect the normal functioning of either including medical tests and investigations involved in the diagnosis of fertility. Definition of fertility and its application to the male and female. Female cycle and methods used to plot and identify ovulation. Treatment options available both allopathic and complementary for both unexplained and those undergoing
Assisted Reprodction Techniques - IVF incl IVF (PGD), ICSI, FET, IUI or Clomid (ART). Importance of diet & nutrition for conception. The effects of stress on the body and the array of tools which can be used to support clients suffering with this. Practical work: Students will be given the opportunity to master techniques specifically for use with fertility clients as well as reflexology techniques adapted for use in this field for those clients requiring support during Assisted Reprodction Techniques - IVF incl IVF (PGD), ICSI, FET, IUI, or Clomid (ART). Students will also learn other techniques used to assess the hormonal glands and apply this knowledge through practical reflexology. Repeaters- students who have previously attended the course may attend any course date at a reduced rate or attend day 2 only for ART information.
Case Studies Case studies are an optional part of this course. However some insurance companies now specify that you need a case study element to say you are trained or experienced in a specific area. I would therefore strongly suggest that you do complete the case studies which can be emailed or posted to me up to one year from the date of attendance at the day course. A certificate will then be issued to acknowledge that you have attained the standard to be recognised as a Fertility Reflexologist through an approved CThA or FHT course .
